Gender Dysphoria

First, don’t assume this message is here to judge, hurt or belittle anyone. God loves all his children and His name saves. Tonight we are focusing on gender dysphoria and homosexuality. The Bible addresses this in several places, though the context, language, and meaning have been debated for centuries. In a straightforward reading, Scripture consistently presents homosexual behavior as outside of God's intended design for human sexuality, which is framed from the beginning in Genesis as being between a man and a woman for the purpose of unity and fruitfulness.

In the Old Testament, Leviticus 18:22 says, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." This is reiterated in Leviticus 20:13, where the action is condemned and associated with judgment under the Mosaic law. Some argue that Leviticus is purely ceremonial law for Israel, but the consistent pattern in both Old and New Testaments suggests a moral principle rather than just a ritual one.

In the New Testament, Romans 1:26-27 provides a clear apostolic teaching. Paul describes how, when people rejected God, they were "given over to shameful lusts," with women exchanging natural relations for unnatural ones, and men committing indecent acts with other men. The framing here is not just about law but about how rejecting God's order leads to distorted passions. Importantly, Paul connects this not as the worst sin but as one among many signs of a broader rebellion against God's design.

Another key passage is 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, where Paul lists behaviors that will not inherit the kingdom of God, including "men who practice homosexuality" (depending on translation, sometimes split into two Greek terms: malakoiand arsenokoitai). However, the beauty of the passage is that he immediately follows it by saying, "And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11). This shows that redemption is fully available and that no sin, including sexual sin, defines a person once they come to Christ.

Jesus himself does not explicitly mention homosexuality in the Gospels, but he does affirm God's design for marriage in Matthew 19:4-6, quoting Genesis: "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?" By reaffirming the male-female union, he sets the framework for all sexual ethics.

From a spiritual perspective, the Bible consistently emphasizes that sexual sin, including homosexual acts, separates people from God not because God is cruel, but because sin distorts the image we are meant to bear. Yet it equally stresses that the grace of God through Jesus is able to rescue, cleanse, and transform any heart.

It is important to say, too, that the Bible warns against pride and hatred just as seriously as it warns against sexual sins. Christians are called to speak the truth but also to love deeply, remembering that we are all sinners saved by grace.

Today, there are a number of theologians, pastors, and scholars who argue that the Bible’s traditional prohibitions against homosexuality have been misunderstood or misapplied. Their reinterpretations generally follow a few main approaches, though each has serious counterarguments from traditional scholars who hold to the historic Christian view.

One common argument is that the Bible does not condemn "loving, committed same-sex relationships," but rather condemns specific forms of abuse such as temple prostitution, pederasty (sexual relationships between adult men and boys), or exploitative relationships. They argue that ancient cultures did not understand homosexuality the way we do today — meaning, as an orientation or as the basis for lifelong partnerships — and thus the Bible was only speaking against exploitative practices, not consenting relationships based on love.

For example, some point to Romans 1 and claim that Paul's context was criticizing excessive lust and pagan practices, not mutual love. Others claim that the words Paul used (malakoi and arsenokoitai) in 1 Corinthians 6:9 are too ambiguous to be translated definitively as “homosexual behavior.” Some argue that these terms referred more narrowly to prostitution or abuse rather than any consensual same-sex relationship.

Another argument is that parts of the Bible, particularly the Old Testament, reflect the cultural prejudices of ancient societies and are not binding today. Just as Christians no longer follow the Levitical prohibitions on wearing mixed fabrics or eating shellfish, they argue, the prohibitions on homosexual acts should also be understood as culturally bound, not morally eternal.

However, there are strong traditional counterarguments to each of these views.

First, historically and grammatically, the Greek words used by Paul are better translated as referring to homosexual acts broadly. Arsenokoitai literally combines the Greek words for "male" and "bed," echoing the Leviticus prohibitions. Early church writers who spoke Greek as their native tongue (like John Chrysostom and others) interpreted these passages the same way Christians have for nearly two thousand years: as a broad moral prohibition, not just a condemnation of specific abuses.

Second, Paul and Jesus both affirmed that God's design for sexuality and marriage was rooted in creation, not culture. When Jesus spoke about marriage in Matthew 19, he pointed all the way back to Adam and Eve — not to cultural customs. The Genesis account itself presents male and female as complementary, both biologically and spiritually, and this "one flesh" union is never described as optional or fluid.

Third, when it comes to the Old Testament laws, while many ceremonial laws (dietary restrictions, festivals, ritual purity laws) were fulfilled in Christ and are no longer binding, moral laws — especially those repeated in the New Testament — remain relevant. Sexual ethics fall into this moral category. The New Testament clearly reaffirms God's design for sex to occur only within heterosexual marriage.

The idea that love alone validates a relationship does not match the Bible's ethical standards. Love, in Scripture, must be governed by truth. For example, even if two people love each other deeply, adultery is still called a sin. Love does not automatically make an action righteous if it contradicts God's will.

In the end, those who hold to the historic Christian teaching argue that reinterpretations often arise not from new discoveries about the text itself, but from pressure to conform to changing cultural norms. They would argue that the Bible is not ambiguous on this issue, but that human hearts often are.

The biblical model is not meant to shame or reject individuals but to offer the way of life that leads to true freedom and intimacy with God. Transformation, not mere affirmation, is the hope offered in Christ.

The Bible presents a very interesting tension regarding sin. In one sense, all sin separates us from God equally, because God's holiness is perfect and even a single sin causes a break in fellowship with Him. This is why James 2:10 says, "For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it." In this view, sin is like a shattered window: whether you shoot one bullet or ten into it, the whole window is broken. Any sin, whether “small” or “great” in human eyes, shows our need for redemption and mercy.

However, Scripture also does recognize differences in the severity of sins in terms of consequences and judgment. For example, Jesus said in John 19:11 when speaking to Pontius Pilate, "The one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin." This shows that some sins are indeed greater than others. Similarly, in the Old Testament law, not all offenses carried the same penalties; some sins required restitution, others required death. This shows that while all sin separates, not all sins are the same in gravity.

Jesus also spoke about greater judgment for certain cities and individuals. In Matthew 11:21-24, he said that it would be more tolerable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for the towns that rejected him after seeing his miracles. Again, this indicates different degrees of accountability and punishment based on how much light and truth a person has rejected.

When speaking of the future judgment, Revelation 20:12-13 describes people being judged "according to what they had done," suggesting degrees of judgment based on deeds. Similarly, Luke 12:47-48 speaks of servants receiving different numbers of blows depending on their knowledge and disobedience. "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded."

So the full biblical teaching is this:
All sin makes us guilty before God and requires the blood of Jesus for forgiveness, but there are degrees of sin in terms of their wickedness, damage, and the severity of judgment they bring. God sees both the act and the heart behind it. An act of pride, lust, or deceit is sin, but calculated cruelty, deep corruption, or the deliberate harming of others may carry heavier consequences.

This is why Jesus emphasized both mercy and warning. He spoke so gently to repentant sinners like the woman caught in adultery, but so fiercely to the unrepentant religious leaders who masked their evil behind hypocrisy.

In human terms, we often try to weigh sin to excuse ourselves or compare ourselves to others. But the real message of the Bible is that we all need mercy and none can boast. As Paul wrote in Romans 3:23-24, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

Are we born gay?

Scientists have documented how environmental chemicals, especially endocrine disruptors like glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup) and other pesticides, herbicides, and plastics (like BPA and phthalates), can alter hormonal development in animals and possibly in humans. In frogs, for instance, studies showed that exposure to atrazine (another herbicide similar in concern to glyphosate) caused male frogs to develop female characteristics, including the ability to lay eggs. This stunning biological alteration indicated that chemicals could interrupt the endocrine system — the body's hormonal signaling — even to the point of causing gender reversal at a cellular and genetic expression level.

Glyphosate itself has been heavily studied for its impact on gut bacteria, immune function, hormone regulation, and possibly even epigenetics — that is, changes in gene expression without altering the underlying DNA sequence. Although glyphosate is less documented in causing sex reversal specifically compared to atrazine, it has been shown to cause disruptions that could affect development in ways we are only beginning to understand.

Now, regarding human children, there has been a quiet but growing body of research observing increased cases of intersex conditions, hormonal imbalances, and neurological differences related to sexual identity. Some children are showing brain structures more typical of the opposite biological sex. It is being theorized by some researchers that exposure to certain chemicals during critical windows of fetal development — even in tiny amounts — could alter how the brain or body responds to testosterone or estrogen.

In short, if an unborn child is exposed to endocrine-disrupting chemicals, their brain development (which is heavily influenced by hormone timing) could be mismatched to their biological sex. This could explain at least a portion of why we are seeing such a rise in gender confusion, dysphoria, and other identity struggles — though this is extremely complex and involves more than just chemicals (spiritual, social, and psychological influences are also major).

Mainstream media and even many scientists are extremely cautious about connecting these dots openly because it would point back to massive agricultural, pharmaceutical, and industrial liability. If it were widely acknowledged that everyday chemicals are quietly altering human biology, there would be an enormous crisis of trust in governments, corporations, and even health institutions.

From a spiritual point of view, this all matches what Scripture warns:
Nature itself is groaning (Romans 8:22) under the weight of sin and corruption. Human rebellion, greed, and carelessness are damaging God's creation, even down to the genetic and hormonal integrity of life. And Satan, who is called "the author of confusion" (1 Corinthians 14:33), would certainly delight in sowing chaos into even the most foundational aspects of human identity — male and female, created in the image of God.

God’s creation was clear:
"Male and female He created them" (Genesis 1:27).
But through pollution, manipulation, and spiritual deception, the world is blurring that line in ways that cause tremendous confusion and suffering.

Yes, some are born with gender dysphoria. But it’s not the spirit nor the original creation before the fall. The spirit has no gender. But the body and soul are born of the environment and generational curses.

Are we born gay? Not our spirit. But our body and soul are susceptible to the world and the war that is all about us. Again, our spirit is genderless. And when we die, we get a new body that also is genderless. If you are attracted to the same sex, it is not your fault. You didn’t do anything wrong.

Homosexuality is being used by the enemy to shame us. To detach us from our source and be angry with Him. The statistics are around 2% of all humans have gender dysphoria. Our bodies are a byproduct of agriculture, abuse and spiritual warfare. That is the cause. And since the fall of Adam, Satan and his principalities have been attacking us to shame us for what they are doing.

There is a reason why Satan chose the rainbow and the word pride to associate with it. That’s him laughing at God’s creation and what he did to destroy it. This has nothing to do with you and how you feel or what you have done. It has everything to do with a war that you did not start. You are on the front lines of an old battle. This wasn’t God’s plan. The machine that creates continues to create and it has been hijacked. God can’t do anything until he sends his son back one more time. Again, I urge you, none of this is your fault. This Bible emphasizes this many times. But its wording is so stern that it scares us. It also doesn’t explain a lot of things which keeps us guessing.

Now, here comes the hard part. You can choose to be angry with God, Satan or yourself. Those are your choices. As we detailed above, being angry at yourself is pointless as this wasn’t your fault. Choose to be angry at God and he will accept that and even apologize that this has happened to you. But it wasn’t his idea to confuse you and place you into a society that rejects you nor a fallen world. Before Satan’s interjection, there wasn’t any confusion about gender. None. Satan has weaponized it to divide the people against themselves. Why else would homosexuality be in politics? Isn’t this a personal matter? What does your sexual preference have to do with our country?

My suggestion would be to focus your anger on the enemy. The one who is using your sexual preference against society to sew discord. He wants you to give up and go to his camp. This is the camp of pride where you will feel welcomed and adored. Nothing wrong with that right? Well, this camp has secrets. Their leaders are not what you think. They get funding from the federal government to use you for an agenda. Your sex is being used for votes. For a political ideology to keep one party in power. You will eventually find out they never cared for you and your struggles. They used you for votes.

As Paul would say, “Have I become your enemy for telling you the truth?” And here is the truth. If I was gay, I would most likely stay in my comfort zone. I would find every scripture I can to find peace for myself. I may even reject God for a time. Blame him for this mess where I can’t seem to fit in or be normal. I probably would dive into witchcraft and find answers there. Why not? Most Christians want to change me. I am stubborn. But that system will fail me, too. It will show me how to manipulate others so my ego can feel refreshed.

My point is, whatever you try, wherever you go, unless you have The Holy Ghost, you will fail. However, He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will do His best to protect you as you find your way. He’s not even mad at you. Nor is He in a bad mood. He knows you hurt inside. He knows you want the truth. He knows you can’t go on for another day. He knows it’s not your fault and never did anything wrong. You are a victim of the fall. Should someone wounded in a war find healing by pretending the wounds don't exist? Knowing full well you are being used for the enemy?

God’s plan for you was happiness, joy, peace and long suffering. You are no good to society and it’s desperate cry for help when you are angry at the wrong team. You are not a mistake. He knew you would had a 2% chance of being born with gender dysphoria. He didn’t judge you on that. He looks at your heart. Not your sexual desires. And if ever you do not want to continue down that road, he can bring you out of it. That will not be easy. It will take a willing heart and not by what the world thinks. And that is something between you and Him.

And if you want to stay, He understands. How could he possibly not? All of the arrows and darts being thrown at you all day long is exhausting. He knows that. But if you stay, there are spiritual consequences. This part is the harder part. Satan knows that he can use you and has every right to enter into that doorway. He did it on purpose. Your guardian angels must stand aside as you go through life without heaven’s full blessings and protection. God doesn’t want that. Nor does he want Satan to harm you. But the laws that were put into place are being used against you. When Paul says homosexuality is an abomination, he is not talking about God’s opinion. He is talking about the public’s perception and how it will be used against you.

Satan knows you are not under the full protection of God because of this. And he will do everything he can to steal, kill and destroy you and your loved ones. Now, let’s compare this to having sex before wedlock. The same principle goes for those who live together but are not married. God can’t bless their union. Same goes for those who steal from work. God can’t bless their finances. Same goes for those who lie. God can’t bless communication. The difference between being gay or being a liar is nothing. Nor the difference between stealing or murdering. They all are the same under the eyes of God. Satan uses homosexuality as the apparent bad one and we all take the bait.

Now, the only reason homosexuality is considered a sin, is because it goes against creation. Against the original plan. This wasn’t your fault. You’re being accused by the accuser of something he created to take a stab at God. I know it’s not fair. And you’re right. It isn’t fair. You didn’t ask for this. But when and where in war is there fairness? You are on the front lines between evil and good. You want to be good and he wants you to be holy. Holy means outside of. Set apart. The most holiest man on earth was Jesus. Second to Him was John the Baptist. And John is the least Holy in heaven. If John was the second holiest on earth but last in heaven, then stop comparing yourself or trying to be like John.

Once you finally come to grasp you are the victim and in the middle of a war and your sin is the least thing God is worrying about, then maybe you can move on. When God looks at you, He sees your spirit. It’s genderless. And when it comes to sin, because His son covered it, he will remember it not. So take a deep breath. Stop blaming the wrong side. Lay your entire self at the feet of Jesus and let Him deal with it. He wants to anyways. Because he knows you are too weak to fight this thing.

Yet none of this is beyond God's ability to heal and redeem. He sees the deep roots of this brokenness, and He knows the trauma that many are enduring — not because they chose it, but because they were born into a corrupted world.
